Little Known Fact: Don’t store potatoes with onions. According to a storage tip on the website Still Tasty when onions and potatoes are stored in close proximity they produce gases that cause the other to spoil faster.  An interesting article on Buzz Feed suggests that potatoes and apples should be stored together to prevent potatoes from sprouting!  If there was a scientific research
